Well not much to report this week as we had the Bye last week other than say there must be some very antisocial low lives in our community.
Over the Anzac day weekend someone decided it would be a great idea to break into the Pembroke Park Change room facility and not only steal the medical supplies and equipment belonging to the Football Club but trash the rooms for no reason whatsoever.
Sporting Clubs like ours work on a shoestring budget and to loose in excess of $2000.00 worth of equipment and supplies this early in the season has dealt a very strong blow to our clubs ability to provide medical attention to our players, both during training and on game day.
It was very disheartening for our head trainer Ray Nelligan to have to attend to the mess left by these Neanderthals because, those of us who know Ray know the pride and dedication this man shows to the club and his duties and, to have his change rooms and medical area reduced to nothing more than a tip site has him seething with frustration.
The police have attended and I’m sure the club will post a reward for anyone able to assist in bringing the guilty culprits to trial and conviction.
Now on a happier note I notice there is a case of swine flu raging in America somewhere near where our President is honeymooning. The question needs to be asked did it start when he got there or not ? ( P.S. We still haven’t got a post card Brimma)
We are home to Central Hawks this week and they are coming off a big win last week so hopefully the weeks break will have us refreshed and rearing to go.
